Get festive at Newbury’s Santa Fun Run and raise money for charity

DATE

November 2, 2026

Runners and walkers of all ages can take on a 1km or 5km route through Newbury on 22 November 2026, with entry fees supporting charities backed by the Rotary Club.

It’s time to get festive as the Newbury Rotary Club Santa Fun Run returns on Sunday, 22 November 2026, inviting participants to don a red suit and raise money for charity.

Starting and finishing in the Market Place, the event offers a choice of 5km or 1km routes. Despite its name, the Santa Fun Run is not a race, so participants can take their time and walk as much as they like.

Entry costs £15 for adults, £10 for under-18s and students, and £7 for children under eight. Everyone who enters will receive a free Santa suit.

There will also be a special prize for the best-dressed Santa pet, donated by the Ugly Duckling Pottery. The prize is a pet bowl that the winner can decorate.

All proceeds will go to charities supported by Newbury Rotary Club. A list of the charities, along with further event information, is available at newburyrotary.org. Pre-registration is essential.

This year, the Waterside Centre will help deliver the event, with ICONIC Fitness as the main sponsor.

Newbury Rotary Club welcomes members from a range of backgrounds and age groups, with people living in and around the town. The club meets twice a month on Mondays at 6pm at Donnington Valley Hotel, with social gatherings around the town on alternate weeks.
