Nestled on the banks of the River Wey, The Ragged Robin pub Godalming perfectly captures the essence of a welcoming hostelry. Part of the Heartwood Inns empire, this beautifully refurbished pub with rooms has quickly become a local favourite.

Named after the wild flora and fauna of the surrounding meadows, The Ragged Robin is the sixth venue in Heartwood Inns. After a multi-million pound refurbishment, this Godalming pub offers cosy nooks, fireplaces, and an expertly curated drinks selection featuring local breweries like Surrey Hills and Hogs Back.

Seasonal Dining with a Sustainable Focus

The dining room now includes a bright garden room with views over the transformed riverside garden. With 213 indoor seats, the pub offers spaces for every occasion. The menu changes seasonally and matches Heartwood’s three-star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association, the highest possible. Highlights include the signature twice-baked cheese soufflé with rich Coastal Cheddar sauce — perfect for special occasions or when you just want someone else to cook. Breakfast guests enjoy a hearty spread of continental and traditional cooked dishes.

Riverside Garden and Boutique Rooms at The Ragged Robin Pub Godalming

Outside, the garden has a new terrace and pergolas, offering seating for 124 guests with dedicated bar service. It also has a mooring for direct river access via River Wey.

The Ragged Robin features 19 boutique bedrooms, ranging from cosy ‘Snugs’ to luxurious rooms with free-standing baths. All rooms include thoughtful touches such as rainfall showers, Roberts radios, Bramley toiletries, and Illy coffee machines. The pub welcomes families and dogs, offering dog-friendly rooms and a dog shower.
