Turville Studios Winter Weekend brings festive art and gifts to Henley

DATE

November 2, 2026

Looking for something different this Christmas? Turville Studios will open its doors on 5 and 6 December 2026, inviting visitors to browse original artwork, meet local artists and find unique gifts in the Hambleden Valley.

Fancy adding a little more art to your Christmas shopping? Turville Studios is inviting visitors to its annual Winter Weekend Open Studios on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026, offering a festive opportunity to browse original artwork, discover unique gifts and meet the professional contemporary artists behind the work.

Open from 11am to 4pm each day, the studios will showcase an eclectic mix of original art in a variety of media, alongside greetings cards and gift vouchers for art lessons and tuition.

Whether you’re searching for a one-off Christmas present, something special for your own walls or simply fancy a browse away from the high street, there should be plenty to tempt you. With prices to suit a range of budgets, you won’t need to sell your soul – or your Christmas jumper collection – to shop.

Meet the artists at Turville Studios

Nestled in the Hambleden Valley, Turville Studios is home to a talented community of artists, including photographer Rachel J Wallace, whose botanical work has enjoyed an eventful year.

Earlier this year, Rachel’s work featured in a fashion collection for Karen Millen, while she also exhibited at London’s Saatchi Gallery, undertook commissions and gave talks to local photography and environmental groups.

There’s plenty more on the horizon, too. Rachel has been commissioned to document the restoration and management of a special area of woodland, while several new personal and client projects remain under wraps.

“I’m a big believer that people should enjoy and share local love in order to keep small businesses alive, for the originality and personal service they offer,” says Rachel. “This helps individual and local businesses survive and grow, while maintaining their important social role in the community.”

Shop local for a more creative Christmas

It’s a sentiment that feels particularly fitting at Christmas, when shopping locally can mean finding something with a story behind it, while supporting the people who help give our communities their character.

A visit to Turville Studios offers the chance to discover work you might not find on the high street, chat to the artists who create it and perhaps find a gift that’s a little more personal.

Visitors can also enjoy seasonal refreshments and soak up some festive good cheer. Free parking makes it an easy addition to your Christmas calendar.

Turville Studios is located just below the Turville/Ibstone windmill, opposite the Bull & Butcher pub. The postcode is RG9 6QL.
