Shacklefords Christmas Celebration Concerts

DATE

November 5, 2025

Launch the festive season in style with the third Christmas Celebration in the beautiful setting of St Nicholas Church Peper Harow

Outstanding pianists Lucy Parham and Richard Sisson will be joined by the vocal talents of Susan Bullock (soprano) and Thomas Elwin (tenor) and the exquisite flute playing of Lisa Friend, a musical ambassador for The Kings Trust. Shackleford Concerts favourite Joanna David returns, this time accompanied by her son Freddie Fox with a selection of readings guaranteed to get you in the Christmas mood.

This Christmas programme will include music and words drawn from the familiar to the less well known. From the classics of Dickens to the joy of ‘Sleigh Ride’, from the traditional style of ‘Silent Night’ to the more contemporary interpretations of this cherished time of year, the programme will be designed to entertain, celebrate, reflect and participate. Two concerts will be staged, featuring the same artists, to enable as many people as possible to attend, refreshed either by a festive tea in the afternoon or some delicious canapés and drinks in the evening. The beautiful surroundings of Peper Harow church will be imaginatively lit to enhance the experience and to welcome those of all ages to join our celebration.
