The Chase star Shaun Wallace to share his inspiring story at Cardiac Health annual lecture

TV quizzer Shaun Wallace is supporting Cardiac Health as the guest speaker at their annual lecture in October.

Best known to millions as The Dark Destroyer on ITV’s The Chase, Shaun Wallace has built an extraordinary career defined by determination, discipline, and achievement.

Called to the Bar in 1984, he has enjoyed a distinguished legal career as a Criminal Defence Barrister spanning more than three decades.

Alongside his work in law, Shaun has become one of the UK’s most recognisable quiz personalities, making history in 2004 as the first Black winner of Mastermind before going on to star in The Chase.

Shaun is widely respected not only for his professional success, but also for his commitment to charity and community causes. He supports a wide range of organisations through fundraising, awareness campaigns, charity quizzes, and public speaking engagements.

Cardiac Health welcomes Shaun to share his inspiring personal story of ambition, resilience, and perseverance while helping to shine a spotlight on the importance of cardiac health awareness and support for patients and families.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Shaun after the lecture at Alton Maltings on Wednesday 7 October 2026, when he will be signing and selling copies of his bestselling autobiography, Chasing the Dream, and posing for photographs.
