Get ready for a weekend of music, laughter and feel-good festival vibes as ShyneFest returns to Merrist Wood on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 May 2026, celebrating an incredible 11 years.

What began as a 40th birthday party on a friend’s farm has grown into one of Surrey’s most-loved independent festivals, known for its welcoming atmosphere, brilliant live music and strong sense of community. And this year, there’s even more reason to celebrate, as the festival proudly supports Woking Hospice.

Across two days, festivalgoers can expect a packed line-up of live performances spanning rock, pop and indie, with a mix of original acts and crowd-pleasing tributes. The line-up includes Abba tribute Mania, Mardy Bums, The Fanzines, The Upbeat Beatles, The Mustard, The Sound of ACDC, Miss America (a tribute to Taylor Swift), Dick Mavis, Doubting Thomas and Coco La Funk.

But ShyneFest is about much more than music. With on-site camping and glamping, delicious local food, and plenty of entertainment for children, it’s a proper all-ages weekend. Think relaxed, friendly and brilliantly unpretentious – exactly what a summer festival should be. That’s why ShyneFest has just been announced as a finalist in the Muddy Stilettos Awards, in the Best Family Experience in Surrey category.

Founder Shyne Adcock sums it up perfectly: “What makes it so unique is the people – our community, our volunteers and our amazing local sponsors. Supporting Woking Hospice this year means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate together.”

That community spirit hasn’t gone unnoticed. The festival has been highly commended in the Surrey Awards and shortlisted again this year for Best Family Fun, while also picking up a Small Business Sunday award from Theo Paphitis.
