Watch England’s World Cup matches with football legends at Berystede Hotel & Spa

DATE

March 25, 2026

Head to the Berystede Hotel & Spa in Ascot to watch England’s World Cup games and find out more about a very special book.

England carry high hopes of ending 60 years of hurt when the World Cup kicks off in June, but if you can’t afford FIFA’s extortionate ticket prices, pop along to the Berystede Hotel & Spa in Ascot and watch ‘the boys of 26’ live.

Enjoy this unique experience in the company of specially invited football legends on Wednesday 17 June, when England take on Croatia and Tuesday 23 June, against Ghana.

Previous live screenings at the Victorian manor have included a penalty shoot-out against the legends – very much a family affair, with plenty of food and drink for all.

There will also be the chance to see and even own a piece of World Cup history with the world’s number one sports artist, Paul Trevillion, exhibiting his World Cup art that appears in the unique A History of the World Cup full colour large size book, available at a special discounted price only for those attending the live screenings.

Trevillion will welcome you with his special brand of humour and story telling – he was once a stand up comic and the original football mascot! He will also introduce his art and the World Cup book. Limited edition prints will be available on the night for £150.

The book’s author Harry Harris will also attend, joining Trevillion and the legends in signing the book – making it a valuable piece of football history. The book also contains a foreword by 1978 World Cup winner Ossie Ardiles.

Harris has written 100 football books and, among others, is Pele’s official biographer. As Chief Football Writer for the Daily Mirror, he was in Mexico 86 to witness Maradona’s ‘hand of God’ and ‘the greatest ever World Cup goal’. He was at Italia 90 when Gazza’s tears took centre stage as well as the World Cup in the States in 1994 and France 1998.

Trevillion says: “After many years of meeting and capturing on paper countless World Cup superstars and listening to their exciting memories of past World Cup games, I am looking forward to visiting the Berystede in June and sharing more memories with everyone.

“England have a very strong squad and I can’t wait to draw England’s goalscoring legend Harry Kane lifting the World Cup!”

Harris adds: “My greatest wish is to see England win the World Cup in 2026 after 60 years of hurt, and Paul Trevillion, myself, the legends, and the Berystede staff, would love to see you there joining us all to watch the England games live.”
