Marvel at the wonder of wood as the 15th Surrey Hills Wood Fair returns on September 13th & 14th in Cranleigh

Celebrate craftsmanship and woodland adventure at the Surrey Hills Wood Fair, featuring woodcraft, medieval fun, and bushcraft skills.

The much-loved celebration of woodcraft returns for its 15th year at Fish Pond Copse, Bookhurst Road GU6 7DW offering something for everyone and with a strong focus on practical activities for adults and children to get involved in.

Have a go at tree climbing and take your woodland experience to new heights, safely harnessed and surrounded by the rich greenery or take a horse and wagon ride around the picturesque site of the fair and watch woodland demonstrations and activities, browse and buy at a host of wood-crafted stalls and of course, there’s fabulous local food and drink to enjoy during the day too.

From timber demonstrations to woodland-inspired creations, this event brings together the best of our rural craftspeople with a focus on sustainability and conservation. Step into the wood workers’ village and witness live demonstrations of wood workers showcasing their talent. Expect to see Viking and medieval encampments, axe throwing, bushcraft sessions, and tree climbing, adding an adventurous and historical element to the festivities.

The majority of the activities are free and included in ticket prices, some are extra. The one-hour tree top experience must be booked in advance and is suitable for all over the age of six.
