Weybridge salon Glitterati celebrates award win as it eyes further success

Glitterati Hair & Beauty has been named Best Independent Business in Weybridge at the 2026 Love Elmbridge Awards. Owner Enzo reflects on the salon’s success, the importance of great service and its plans for the future.

Enzo has seen many hair trends come and go, but throughout his career, the importance of great hair and great service has always been in style.

Having started his career in the late 1990s with one of the world’s leading salon brands and gained extensive industry experience, he decided to take the plunge and open his own salon in Church Street, Weybridge, in 2007.

“I wanted to create a salon around my own vision of what a modern independent salon could be,” he says. “Somewhere that looked great, felt welcoming and, most importantly, put the client and the quality of the work first.

“Over the years, Glitterati has evolved. We’ve grown our team, developed our services and invested heavily in education and training. We’ve also seen the salon itself change and develop as our clients’ needs have changed.

“The core idea has never really changed. We’re still an independently owned salon in the heart of Weybridge, and we’re still very focused on creating great hair and giving people a really good experience when they walk through our doors.”

What it means to create great hair has evolved, with Enzo noticing that clients increasingly want a more personal approach. One of the biggest trends is a focus on beautiful, healthy-looking hair alongside styling and colour.

Working alongside Enzo is his talented team, whose contribution has been essential to making Glitterati the success it is today.

“I’ve always wanted Glitterati to be somewhere where clients feel comfortable, looked after and confident that they’re in good hands,” he says. “At the same time, I want it to be somewhere that talented people want to work, develop and build their careers.

“Education has always been important to me. We’re not just trying to create great hairdressers today; we’re also trying to develop the next generation of them.”

Next year marks the salon’s 20th anniversary, a significant milestone for Enzo that also reflects the changes the hairdressing industry and market have experienced over the years.

“You have to keep moving forward,” he says, “but you also have to know what you stand for. For me, that’s always been about great hair, great service, a great team and creating a salon that people actually enjoy being in.

“You have to genuinely care. Care about the client sitting in your chair, care about the team working alongside you and care about the business you’re building.”

That philosophy is also why winning the Love Elmbridge award means so much to Enzo.

“To have the local community recognise what we’ve built is incredibly rewarding. You’re part of the community and your reputation is built one client, and one recommendation, at a time. We’ve been lucky to have such loyal clients.

“Glitterati wouldn’t be where it is today without Weybridge.”

The salon is now hoping to add to its success with another win at the Discover Weybridge Business Awards later this month.
