Family Festival returns to Farnham Maltings in September, with drawing demonstrations from children’s illustrator and writer Nick Sharratt, a comedy circus show, LEGO® building and more.

Farnham Maltings’ Family Festival returns on Saturday 26 September 2026 with a day of creativity and fun for all ages.

Led by acclaimed artists, the programme is packed with performances and interactive activities for families and young creatives.

Among the highlights is a draw-along with much-loved children’s writer and illustrator Nick Sharratt. During the event, he’ll share new and favourite books, demonstrate how to draw and create exciting characters, and offer plenty of creative tips and games along the way.

Families can also enjoy Out of the Box, a comedy circus show featuring an unlikely character and his box of tricks. A celebration of skilful silliness, the show is packed with trick shots, mini acts and hilarious opportunities to join in.

That’s not all, kids can take part in a silent disco, craft workshops, an interactive exhibition, balloon modelling, face painting, LEGO® building and plenty more.

The Riverside Café will also be offering a special family-friendly menu during the festival to refuel, while the front lawn will host additional activities and entertainment throughout the day.

Festival entry is just £2, with tickets available on the door.

Advance booking is available for selected workshops and events, which are ticketed separately and include festival entry in the ticket price.
