Tickets on sale for comedian Lucy Beaumont’s new stand-up show

Lucy Beaumont brings her brilliantly chaotic new stand-up show to High Wycombe’s Swan Theatre in November.

Lucy Beaumont has never claimed to be good at quiz shows – and, judging by her track record, she may have a point.

After losing a contestant £98,000 on The Wheel and falling asleep on page three of the book she was supposed to revise for Celebrity Mastermind, the comedian has chosen a new speciality: being good with weirdos.

Her new show, Bad At Quiz Shows, Good With Weirdos, comes to High Wycombe’s Swan Theatre on Sunday 22 November 2026, following a sell-out debut tour.

“I think mostly I’m just more confident,” Lucy says of returning to the road. “I’d never have said this even a year ago, but I want to be the best comic. I think I’ve found out what sort of comic I am and what people want to hear.”

The show promises stories of Celebrity Traitors, The Great British Sewing Bee, everyday disasters and the wonderfully surreal workings of Lucy’s mind.

“I don’t need to make anything up. I can just use my real life. The comedy finds me,” she says. “I just went onstage with a handbag and hoped for the best. I feel like I’m me, there’s no act.”

Lucy, who’s appeared on Taskmaster, Would I Lie to You?, The Great British Bake Off and Meet the Richardsons, says her new material is a snapshot of how her mind works – although she’s keen to keep things light.

“It’s not deep or serious though, I just want people to have a laugh. I’m 42 and I think these be the years where I should be making my best stuff.”
