After more than nine decades as a boys’ prep school, The Beacon in Amersham has embarked upon an exciting new chapter in the history of the school.


Founded in 1933 as an independent school for boys, The Beacon has welcomed girls to its pupil community.

The ethos and values remain consistent, underpinned in Beacon Life as the school evolves. This inclusive development enhances and enriches the educational experience of all Beacon pupils.
