From an Orient Express-inspired afternoon tea room to a dedicated art studio and stylish salon, a new care home in Fleet is putting lifestyle, hospitality and meaningful experiences at the heart of later life.
There’s a new addition to Fleet’s community, with Heron Manor officially celebrating its grand launch on 16 October 2026, welcoming guests to discover a different approach to later-life living.
Bringing together thoughtfully designed interiors, high-quality hospitality and personalised care, the 60-bedroom home has been created to offer residents much more than somewhere to live. Instead, the focus is on making every day enjoyable, with spaces and experiences designed around individual interests, comfort and wellbeing.
Among the standout features is a room inspired by the Orient Express, providing an elegant setting for afternoon tea with family and friends.
Elsewhere, residents can enjoy a little pampering in the hair and nail salon, get creative in the Art Studio or spend time in the Sun Room, which even features a pool table.

For more relaxed dining, the Farmhouse Kitchen offers a welcoming alternative, while beautifully landscaped gardens provide space to enjoy the outdoors.
Accommodation has also been carefully considered, with a collection of stylish bedrooms and suites. Some of the larger suites feature separate bedroom and lounge areas, giving residents extra room to relax and enjoy their own space.

Beyond the surroundings, Heron Manor offers residential care, nursing care, specialist dementia residential care and respite stays, alongside a dedicated dementia community. Residents also have access to physiotherapy, a dedicated pastry chef, gardening, minibus outings and a varied programme of activities.
The grand opening brought together members of the Fleet community, including local councillor Steve Forster and Bob Schofield, Chairman of Fleet Town Council. One of the home’s first residents had the honour of cutting the ribbon, officially marking the start of Heron Manor’s next chapter.
Guests were treated to an evening of food and hospitality, with canapés, bowl food, fish and chips and an impressive dessert buffet on offer.

Heron Manor is part of Principle Care Homes, which also operates Broomfield Village Care Home in Chelmsford. Managing Director and Co-Founder Ashish Goyal said the ambition was to create somewhere that feels really connected to the local community.
General Manager Kim Lambden added that the warmth and enthusiasm of the team would be central to making the home a special place to live and work.
Heron Manor is now welcoming enquiries and arranging visits.
